When Sheriff Bladen went on holiday, the relief deputy that was sent to take over was a strange man. A very strange man indeed - he just couldn't seem to keep awake ! And a lazy sheriff wasn't at all what was wanted at a time when those notorious bank robbers, the Garash brothers, were roaming at large.

But Pocomoto wasn't so sure . . .

Hardback with dustwrapper; red cloth, black blocking including lasso design on spine and rearing horse and rider front board; full colour dustwrapper and frontispiece, remaining illustrations in black and white.
