But it took Gramp's help to sort out a tricky and most exciting situation.

Hardback with dustwrapper; brown boards embossed with 'Brock' logos; black blocking; 135x190mm; black and white illustrations, frontispiece, vignette and 32 other illustrations, all by Bill Burnard; front flap has 'blurb' reproduced above; rear flap has 'biographical sketch' of author; back of dustwrapper advertises The Gold Elephant. Mike's copy is price-clipped so cover price not known (yet).

The Brockhampton Press reference catalogue of Books in Print 1968 lists the book as still in print in its first edition, ie no reprint date given, priced at 8/6 and with its Standard Book Number of 340-03811-X.
